Open Duck Mini is a compact, open-source robotics platform designed for AI experimentation, combining: - Mobile navigation - Computer vision processing - Language model integration (VLA capabilities)

What You'll Build

  • Assemble the Open Duck Mini hardware platform
  • Integrate the sensors for balancing (IMU), vision tasks (camera), sound (speaker).
  • Make the duck balance and walk with the default policy
  • Change the policy in simulation

Required Knowledge

  • 3D printing (for custom parts/modifications)
  • Soldering for the electrical circuitry
  • Assembly for the mechanical parts (servo motors, 3D parts, using screws, heat inserts, etc)
  • Computer vision fundamentals (camera calibration, object detection)
